The World part 2 - The Nature of this World

 The thief does not come except to steal, and kill, and destroy. I come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly. John10:10 NKJV


In the above scripture we are told the essential nature of the enemy. Every act, every strategy, every purpose of the enemy is designed to steal humanity's rightful place, kill humanity at every opportunity and cause their souls to be destroyed in hell. Biblical destruction does not mean no longer existing but existing so completely without the presence of our Creator God that it is everlasting destruction. 2Thessalonians1:9 and other scriptures make this clear. Also destroying even one human in hell was not God’s intent. In Matthew 25:41 we are told that hell, described as the everlasting fire, was prepared for the devil and his angels. Humans that go to hell will only be those humans tricked by the enemy into rejecting God and joining the enemy in his rebellion against God. If we join the enemy through the deception of his three pronged attack we are choosing to be counted against God and lining up with the devil and his angels.

The nature of this world is an extension of the nature of the enemy. The world system is structured to steal humanity's rightful place, kill humans as much as possible and trick them into being destroyed in everlasting hell. The only thing that holds the enemy back from having one hundred percent control over humanity is the presence of God’s people in the earth. As long as there is a remnant of humanity for God in the earth the enemy will be hindered by our prayer and authority through Jesus Christ. Through Jesus we have the authority to oppose and destroy the works of the enemy and establish God’s kingdom where we are.

The Nature of the enemy and this world is also to remove any restriction to the enemy’s action. since the fall the enemy has been accusing human kind of not belonging to God or loving God. If he can prove that there is no remnant of humanity serving God then he can claim that God should no longer intercede or act on our behalf because we have chosen to reject him. The enemy could cause all humanity to be destroyed right now if there was no remnant of God’s people in the earth for God to protect and that act on behalf of the rest of humanity for the kingdom of heaven. In Job the first chapter we see the enemy travailing back and forth among man kind and God freely. God points out that he has a servant named Job in the earth who is upright before him. The enemy immediately begins to try and discredit and accuse Job. This is the nature of the world.

In the New Testament because of the birth of Christ we can claim the blood of Jesus. It is because of the blood of Christ that the enemy was cast down and could no longer come before God an accuse us, Revelation 12:9-12. We must be aware however that the enemy now pours all his energy into structuring the world to steal, Kill and destroy as many humans as he can because he knows his time is short.
