The Ministry of God’s Word part 6 - Summation

Everything God created was created through his Word. The Word is living and active and the creative agent of God in the universe. There is no creative undertaking by God that does not proceed from his Word. The creation of the universe, the creation of man, the plan of salvation and everything else proceed from the Word of God. The Word of God is the constant and single unifying law of the Universe and it is manifested in three ways. God is the Word, Jesus is the Word, and scripture is the Word.

Everything that does not proceed from the Word is a universal cancer, a malignancy in God’s original creation. The Word is the only force in the universe that can restore God’s original intent into creation. God uses the Word to combat the fallen nature of creation. All creation broke away from the nature of God through the fall of human kind at Eden. The Word makes war against this fallen nature and restores humans to relationship with God and in the end all of creation will be restored to God’s original intent.

The Word is the single healing agent of humans in creation. It is through the Word that humans are restored to relationship with God and given access again to the original nature God intended for humans to have. The Word in the heart and mind of a human being is a weapon to destroy all the works of the enemy. It is through human beings that God uses his Word to heal and deliver his creation and any person in it. The Word is the single life giving agent in the world.

The preached Word of God is the primary vehicle God uses to speak to and heal his creation. The minister of God’s Word has to be a servant of God and not a servant of the world or their own flesh. When a servant of God gives the Word to people the servant is giving God to people. The Word was with God and the Word was God so when a servant of God preaches the Word in a situation that servant preaches God into that situation. For this reason it is the most important station a person can hold and it is the station most corrupted and most compromised by the enemy.

The scripture of God is not just Words on a page but it is living and active. When a person ingests scripture into their heart and mind they ingest God into their heart and mind. The scripture is that single agent that can enter a human’s soul and heal and deliver it. When humans commune with scripture they commune with God. Scripture is the single most important relationship builder with God’s because you interact with God’s nature and personality. Prayer is how humans interact with God but scripture is how humans get to know God.

The Word of God is essential to any Christian. If a Christian does not know scripture they do not know the nature of God and therefore the nature of their own beliefs.
