About Me

Ntwadumela (In-twy-do-may-la) means, “He Who Greets With Fire. With the various biblical examples of God in the Old and New Testaments manifesting his presence as fire, poet Ntwadumela simply means the poet who greets with the presence of God. As a Christian poet I am striving to express God to people, people to God, and our view of God to each other. It is my belief that the enemy of all souls has organized and specific strategies for deceiving and destroying humans. A high priority in these strategies is the dividing of us from each other, the fostering of hate in the world and the belief that if you and I don't agree that somehow means I don't have to love you. It is my desire to to shed light on these strategies and help us all to know God the more.

The Love of God In the World

1st John 2:9-10 He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no stumbling in him.     1st John 2:9-10 NKJV

The most important notion for the Christian is that love is the key to membership in God’s kingdom. If we love our brother then we are walking in God’s light and if we do not we are still in darkness. Every one of us would certainly say that we agree with the above scripture and say that we love our brother and are therefore in God’s light. If we asked for Biblical definitions for love and our brother we might then run into difficulties of agreement.

God makes clear to us that our brother, in the context of Christian love, is every other human being. If we try to qualify those people worthy to receive our love we are walking in darkness and rejecting God’s light. Remember Jesus’s lesson of the Good Samaritan.  Luke 10:29-37 Jesus gives us this example of the two religious leaders failing to show love to the man in need, and also gives us the example of someone not held in high religious esteem choosing to show that love. Jesus here is teaching us that your religious status or position is nothing compared to your love in action. If we are Christians everyone is worthy of our love because God has declared everyone worthy of his love. We cannot pick and choose who to love because God did not pick and choose who to love.  John 3:16 is one of the most quoted verses in the Bible and tells us that God loved the world, not part of the world.

The only way the enemy of all souls is conquered is through God’s love flowing through his people to every person in the world. Just as God loved us even as we were still sinners and breaking his heart (Romans 5:8), we are to show the love of God to everyone we meet. IF we are not loving our fellow human being, but trying to justify ourselves, like the religious leader that prompted the lesson of the Good Samaritan, then we are walking in darkness and not in the light. It is our Christian duty to walk in the light through love.
